Team, it's been a long year.
We’ve faced a pandemic, an economic crisis, a tough election, and so much more. It would be easy to write this year off, to say that we shouldn’t look back. But all of these challenges have demonstrated what we should be thankful for.
I’m thankful for our frontline workers. They’ve taken care of our loved ones, kept our communities informed, and helped us through the roughest of times.
I’m thankful for Joe Biden. His message brought us together and helped us defeat the extremism we were up against this election. I know the next four years will hold great promise because we have a real leader again.
I’m thankful for you. Without grassroots supporters like you, we wouldn’t have defeated the partisanship and extremism in our own backyard. I’m grateful for the chance to keep on fighting for you and tackling the big problems we face as a nation.
And most of all, I’m thankful for my family. I wish this could be a year where we host a large Thanksgiving dinner, but right now the best way to show you care for your family is to keep your celebration small this year.
We’re not out of the woods yet. We’ve got a long way to go before things are normal again. We must remain vigilant and do what we can to keep our communities safe and secure.
I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. May your celebration be safe, healthy, and fulfilling.
Yours,
Josh Gottheimer
