Today is Thanksgiving, and as we enter this holiday of expressing gratitude, there are so many people I am thankful for.

I'm grateful for family and friends, and while we might not all be able to celebrate the holiday together this year, I know our short term sacrifices as a country will ensure we can all celebrate future holidays together for years to come.

I'm also thankful for all of the frontline workers who are putting their own health and safety on the line during the pandemic to keep our country going, especially grocery store workers who have even greater demands placed on them during the busy holiday season.

And I'm thankful for you and all you've done for our grassroots movement and for our country during an incredibly difficult time.

Thanks to your commitment and generosity, our country is on a path toward building back better and stronger than before, but there is still work ahead of us.

More than 1 million new COVID-19 cases were reported in the U.S. over the course of just seven days this month. The virus is on the rise across the country.

The safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year is at home with those who live with you.

We must all lead by example and take care of each other. So please: Mask up, social distance, and stay at home if possible.

I want to encourage you to donate to the National Diaper Network or a local food bank in your area this holiday season if you are able. These organizations are doing important work of providing critical aid and essentials to families in need.
