Happy ThanksgivingAlthough most of you are probably not celebrating this day of thanks as you normally would, I wanted to bring light to one important consideration on this holiday: If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that we should hold gratitude in our hearts every moment of every day for all that we hold dear— because in the blink of an eye, anything could change. With that in mind, I wanted to extend my personal gratitude to each one of you. More than any other year in the history of this organization, you have made it possible for Soldiers' Angels to continue providing support to the military community. While so many other nonprofits have been forced to close their doors because of COVID, Soldiers' Angels supporters stepped up to the plate and asked "What else can I do?" While hundreds of thousands of volunteers were forced to stop participating with their organizations, Soldiers' Angel volunteers faced the risk and asked "Where do you need me?" While donors of every level, all the way up to corporate donors, tightened their purse strings in fear of what may come next, Soldiers' Angels donors continued to give and asked "How much do you need?" It is because of you that we are able to look confidently towards 2021. Although the path ahead may have been altered by 2020, because of you we know that the path still remains. For that, it is not just my gratitude that you should feel, but also the gratitude of the hundreds of thousands of deployed service members, wounded heroes, military families, and veterans of all eras whose lives have been and will continue to be impacted for the better because of your support. With Gratitude,
"I received my gift from Bake-Me-A-Wish today and let me tell you, it was a surprise for me. You and your team have been very nice and supportive not just for me but all my troops here in country. I was not aware that what you folks do to show appreciation to all deployed troops with care packages and gifts had such a huge impact out here. The troops look forward to receiving care packages, especially if all they consume is MREs and maybe two hot meals a day. The treats are spread throughout the formation and the trading or swapping of goodies is a major ordeal here with the troops. Thank you very much for everything you and your team do every day for all deployed troops and for your continued support." - Raymond "Soldiers' Angels was instrumental in helping me through a very difficult time in my life. I was homeless and hungry with nowhere to turn. With their help and support and services, in time I got back on my feet." - Anonymous Veteran "First and foremost, Thank you for everything you guys do. We are truly appreciative of you, your organization and your donors. We are receiving packages and it has morale very high over here. You guys are the force behind the fight and we want you to know how beneficial you guys have been throughout the process." - Johnathon Soldiers' Angels • 2895 NE Loop 410, Suite 107, San Antonio, TX 78218 • www.SoldiersAngels.org Our Tax ID# is 20-0583415 |
