First and foremost, I want to wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving. I am hopeful you will get the chance to spend it with at least one person who means a lot to you. And perhaps dozens more virtually.
For obvious reasons, this year’s holiday is more difficult than most, but there are a number of things we can be thankful for: First, we beat Donald Trump and have a chance to turn this country around after four years of authoritarian rule. Democrats also elected a super majority in the State Senate and we’re all eager to get back to work for the people of New York. Neither of those two would have happened without you.
And finally, it looks like there may be a few vaccines coming soon to help us get back to some sense of normalcy from the pandemic. I know we’re all thankful for that.
But before the day gets away from you (and me), I wanted to also send a quick request about our last fundraising deadline this year. It’s on Thanksgiving because it’s always the 27-day post election report.
