Team,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

This Thanksgiving is unlike any other -- many of you have had to make sacrifices in order to keep yourselves and our communities safe during the ongoing pandemic. So, I want to thank each and every one of you for doing your part.

2020 has been a tough year for all of us -- but we've been able to weather it thus far due to the kindness and heroism of Americans across the country.

There are so many people I am grateful for this Thanksgiving, and I want to acknowledge a few of them today.

Thank you to the frontline healthcare workers who have been working around the clock for months on end, sacrificing their own health to care for COVID patients -- to care for our family members, our colleagues, our friends.

I also want to express my thanks to educators here in the Third District and around the country. They have patiently worked to adapt to online teaching, often working overtime to keep children focused and motivated. And a special shoutout to my fellow parents for keeping our kids' spirits up even when they can't see their friends and teachers.

Thank you to our communities -- our first responders, small businesses owners, food banks, emergency services, grocery workers, Postal Service workers, volunteers, and neighbors -- for supporting us, helping our senior citizens, and lending a helping hand whenever possible.

And finally, thank you to you, friend. Thank you for staying engaged. Thank you for helping me win my re-election. Whether you donated, volunteered, voted, or simply read my emails, your support means the world to me.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And remember there is light at the end of the tunnel -- so let's do our best to stay safe until then.

Gratefully,
Lori
