Dear Jack,

Many feel that 2020 has been a year of great turmoil and stress, which it has been. When things are difficult I remember that Abraham Lincoln established the fourth Thursday in November “as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise” in the United States. He wasn’t the first to declare a day of thanksgiving, but it is remarkable that he chose to do so in the midst of a brutal civil war. Here is a brief snippet of his declaration:

“The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.”

As I read his words, it reminds me to be grateful for the many good things that are happening in the _Center for Science and Culture_. Yes, we are in a battle for the hearts and minds of youth who are told there is no design or purpose in the Universe. It is true that voices are silenced for speaking the truth of intelligent design. But, there is much to give thanks for in the midst of this war of ideas.

We are grateful for the Fellows whose research is making the scientific case for ID and whose writings are reaching the minds and hearts of those who previously clung tightly to Darwinian materialism. We are thankful for the CSC staff, new and old, who are dedicating their time and talent to advance the cause of intelligent design.

Then there is YOU…We are grateful for the thousands who subscribe to our emails and listen to the ID THE FUTURE podcast. We are amazed at the millions of visitors to _EVOLUTION NEWS AND SCIENCE TODAY_ and our YOUTUBE channel.

BUT MOST OF ALL, WE GIVE THANKS FOR THE GENEROSITY OF THOSE WHO MAKE THIS CULTURE-CHANGING WORK POSSIBLE!
