John,
One of my favorite things about this season is that it’s a time to come together to reflect on our blessings and give thanks for everything we have. And while coming together may look a bit different this year, or maybe not happen at all, there is still much to be thankful for. I know that this year, I am especially thankful for you.
At a time when we are so often overwhelmed with concern ... for our community, our neighbors, our families and ourselves, you opened your heart to help strangers in need ... people you’ve never met and likely never will ... people thousands of miles away, across the world.

This kind of generosity is not common, and I feel so blessed to have you by our side, helping families in need every day. Your generosity shows me that you are a compassionate person who understands that by coming together and lending a hand up (and not a hand out), we can stop the vicious cycle of hunger and poverty that persists generation after generation for the families we serve.
Your kindness provides life-changing animals, seeds, education and encouragement families need to set them on the path to a successful future. But more than that, your kindness gives them hope. That is the true impact of your generosity.
Together, we're building a better world for millions of people.
So today as we gather around the Thanksgiving table, I want you to know that the entire Heifer International family, from Bangladesh to Haiti to Little Rock, Arkansas, is giving thanks for you.
