PARALLEL SESSIONS
December 5th - 14:30
CULTURAL SECTOR AFTER COVID [12]
On the basis that access and participation to culture is considered a
fundamental right for every citizen, in this session we want to reflect on
how the crisis has impacted to a general precarious sector as well as to
analyse the potentialities that this crisis could offer/open to such a
creative sector. [12]
Ideas exchange - Future of work:
what can Greens offer workers?
With this parallel session EGP wants to invite Green decision makers,
activists and academics to start a discussion which will be followed by an
exchange of ideas among member parties trying to answer the following
question: What would Greens like to offer to an 18 year-old young woman
about her working future? [13]
Words are not enough - Action now!
Stop "LGBTI-free zones"
During this session we will listen to Polish people explain how the
"LGBTI-free zones" declaration impacted them and we will reflect on what
collective action can be taken at the European Union level to counter such
extreme acts of human rights violation. [14]
Local Councillors Network:
Cities and Climate emergencies
Currently, more than 300 cities have declared a Climate emergency. But what
does it mean and what comes next? How can these declarations be followed by
effective action and how can they build the strength of the climate
movement? How have cities and towns changed their course of action to
address climate change? And how has the COVID-19 crisis, a second
emergency, affected action on climate -- has this been a factor which
slowed down the development, or has it supported climate action? [15]
EU Funds for Socio-Ecological Transition:
How to shape them? How to use them?
How can we use EU funding opportunities at the national, regional and local
levels? How can we shape the way those funds are decided? How can we make
sure the EU funds are not used against climate action or against democracy?
In this session, participants will have the opportunity to find out more
about how to access EU funding and how to make sure such funds and programs
are put to good use. [16]
ANIMAL TRANSPORT [17]
What is the current situation around animal transport in Europe? What are
the plans on EU level? And what can we as Greens, together with civil
society, do on all levels? This parallel session will host short
presentations and open discussions about the current situation around
animal transport it Europe. [17]
