The Strength of Our Community
Hey Northeast Wisconsin, Congressman Mike Gallagher here.

This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that even in the most uncertain of times, we still have a lot to be thankful for.

For example, in the face of a challenging year, many in our community came together and embodied the best of Northeast Wisconsin.

Delly Schneider continued her efforts to make big changes, and helped get a bill passed by the House that has the potential to benefit thousands of Americans.

Educators like Damian LaCroix worked overtime to help ensure our kids received a top-notch education.

The Greater Green Bay Chamber helped keep our local economy afloat. And Paul’s Pantry helped keep many in our community well-fed.

As I reflect on this year and all I have to be thankful for, I’m grateful for them and for the strength of our community -- especially for the strength of our frontline healthcare workers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep our community healthy.

I’m thankful that because of their work we were able to welcome our baby daughter, Grace, into the world. And most importantly, I’m grateful I’ll get to raise Grace in a community as strong as ours in Northeast Wisconsin -- a community that comes together in times of crisis and looks out for one another.

I hope you all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
