Adopt a Turkey Project

Dear John,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today isn’t always the easiest day for vegetarians and vegans.

That’s why, in 1986, Farm Sanctuary President and Co-founder Gene Baur sought to establish a new tradition—a way to celebrate the holiday of gratitude that was rooted in compassion. As a result, the Adopt a Turkey Project was born.

Over three decades later, we’re thrilled to share that this year’s Adopt a Turkey Project has been our most impactful ever.

Here’s a video from Farm Sanctuary CEO Megan Watkins showing the tremendous impact of this year’s campaign:

Farm Sanctuary CEO Megan Watkins with a special thank-you message

It’s not too late to adopt a turkey and join this compassionate, engaged community. Visit adoptaturkey.org to sponsor now.

We’re so grateful to you for being part of the Farm Sanctuary family. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Love,

Farm Sanctuary

P.S. If you’re looking for an extra dose of joy today, please enjoy our Celebration for the Turkeys event, where we flip the script and honor our rescued turkeys with a fabulous feast. Put this on in the background as you finish any last-minute cooking, and know that you gave us something to be very thankful for.
