This Thanksgiving our tables will be less crowded and Thanksgiving Dinner will be a little quieter than in years past. For many of us we will celebrate Thanksgiving apart from loved ones and others will have smaller than usual gatherings.
Nevertheless, there is still so much to be thankful for.
At Stand Up Republic, we hope you’ll join us in taking a moment to give thanks for a few of our shared successes during this election cycle:
✓ Millions of Americans came together and defeated an aspiring authoritarian and we’re now turning the page on a dark chapter in American history.
✓ We had a record number of voter turnout in this election, and together we sent a resounding message that unity is stronger than division.
✓ Thanks to poll workers and other election officials, we had the safest and most secure election in our nation’s history.
✓ We upheld democracy in America.
These are extraordinary times and Thanksgiving will look and feel different as we do our part to be socially distant in order to keep each other safe and healthy, but that doesn’t mean we should lose sight of the true essence of this holiday because we still have so much to be grateful for, even in 2020!
