Team,

Since I reached out to you earlier this week, we've raised $5,511 to help feed our neighbors in Washington state. I'm so proud of how this team has come together to support those who need a hand this holiday season. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Given the devastating crises our communities and country are facing right now, we're taking things up a notch by setting a goal to raise $10,000 before midnight tonight. We want to do everything we can to make sure no family in our state goes without a meal on Thanksgiving.

Before you log off for the holiday weekend, will you chip in $5 to the WA Food Fund and help us reach our goal? Every dollar will help families across Washington. [link removed]

Thank you, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Subject: 1 in 5 people in Washington state are at risk of going hungry by the end of the year. Will you make a donation to the WA Food Fund to help feed people in need?

Team,

Food insecurity throughout Washington is at historically high levels as we head into the holidays. At least 2.2 million people across the state are currently experiencing food insecurity, and one in five Washington residents could face hunger before the year is over. This is especially concerning as we know that thousands of families could see their unemployment benefits expire at the end of December.

As an organizer, I've always said that change starts locally. It starts with each one of us doing our part to make a real difference in the lives of those around us. That's why it's so important to support neighborhood food banks that are working to help families withstand this crisis. Philanthropy Northwest's WA Food Fund is partnering with three trusted organizations that help stock food banks and pantries in every corner of Washington state -- and they need our help to make sure no one goes hungry this holiday season as lines for help continue to grow longer each day.

Our campaign is all about lifting people up, and that work is essential right now. Will you donate $5 or whatever you can give to the WA Food Fund to help keep food banks stocked and Washingtonians fed? Your generosity will directly help families across the state. [link removed]
I'm going to continue fighting for additional COVID-19 relief in Congress, but we also need to do the work necessary on the outside to ensure everyone gets the immediate help they need. As you know, food insecurity was an issue even before the pandemic -- but like with so many inequities, it has only been exacerbated by this crisis. I take pride in the fact that our campaign always puts people first, and I hope you'll join me in doing that once again by helping those in need across Washington state this holiday season.
