We wanted to take a moment to reflect on the 2020 election and offer our sincere gratitude to you -- our prochoice nation. Thank you for making #VOTEPROCHOICE a trusted ally and for showing the political power of reproductive freedom.

Here's what you accomplished:
1. We built a historic 2020 #VOTEPROCHOICE Voter Guide

The #VOTEPROCHOICE team tirelessly devoted themselves to building our fifth comprehensive national voter guide:
* Finding every prochoice candidate running for office anywhere on the ballot
* Elevating candidates in places like Georgia and Missouri where reproductive freedom is most threatened
* Informing and empowering prochoice voters with the most comprehensive voter guide possible

Our team researched 74,080 candidates in all 50 states and D.C., and we recommended 19,222 prochoice candidates in order to empower prochoice voters at the way down the ballot.

Even more powerful, the #VOTEPROCHOICE team endorsed 1,017 prochoice champion candidates across the country. Amazing!

Our Candidate Engagement coaches focused on 346 prochoice champions in states particularly dangerous to reproductive freedom. Our candidates are progressive champions for not just abortion rights, but also climate justice, racial equity, immigration reform, and LGBTQ+ equality. They are the true stars of our future, and we're proud to have supported them.

That's why the #VOTEPROCHOICE Voter Guide was the most comprehensive, progressive, prochoice voter guide ever. It featured:
* 19,222 partner endorsements from over 175 progressive partners
* Recommendations at every level, including for hyper-local and regional offices
* A dynamic "Vote By Mail" and "Plan to Vote" integration to help voters find their polling places, request absentee ballots, and prepare to vote their values in every race.

2. The nation's prochoice majority delivered results

Over 11.4 million voters received the #VOTEPROCHOICE 2020 Voter Guide. We are proud of the 310,000 prochoice voters we helped prepare to vote in critical states like Nevada, Missouri, Georgia, Colorado, Arizona, and Michigan.

58% of #VOTEPROCHOICE Endorsed Candidates Won in 2020 General Elections
How the winning candidates identified themselves:
* 22% LGBTQ+ folks
* 22% first-time candidates
* 45% People of Color
* 32% Women of Color
* 85% Women

Where our prochoice champion candidates won:
* 24% in states that tried to ban abortion in the COVID-19 pandemic
* 31% in states that tried to issue a six-week abortion ban
* 37% in states that Donald Trump won in 2020
* 55% in states that have an anti-choice, Republican governor

3. We can protect reproductive in 2021 and beyond

Our rights are still very vulnerable because of the incredible damage done by the anti-choice minority rule.

Reproductive freeom is still threatened, regardless of the outcome of the Presidential election. The Supreme Court is now completely hostile to Roe v Wade and bodily autonomy, and states throughout the country are poised to ban abortion outright. Everyone is impacted by this reality.

But with our prochoice nation more activated and aware than ever, we're well positioned to protect and expand reproductive freedom.

Here's what we did this year:
* Key judicial races flipped from anti-choice to prochoice in places like the Michigan Supreme Court.
* LGBTQ+ candidates won in historic races - like Kim Jackson, a female Black pastor who will be the first out LGBTQ+ person in the Georgia State Senate.
* Voters are more educated than ever on the impact that local and state offices like District Attorney, City Council, and Sheriff can have on reproductive freedom.

Because of your support, your commitment to standing up for prochoice values, and your vote for prochoice champions -- we're better positioned than ever to protect and expand reproductive freedom.
