Mail is just about the only way that Rodney has been able to communicate with his family lately.

John —

For 22 years, Rodney Reed has been on death row in Texas for a crime he has always maintained he did not commit — and there’s been growing evidence of his innocence.

Last year, Rodney was issued an indefinite stay just five days before his scheduled execution. A judge ordered a new hearing, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, that hearing has been delayed to 2021. So Rodney remains on death row in Texas, where COVID-19 is devastating people in jails and prisons. He has had little contact with the outside world for months.

Mail is one of the only ways that Rodney has been able to communicate with family and friends during this time — their letters mean everything to him.

So before the holidays, we’re gathering notes from this community that his legal team will deliver to him. Will you send Rodney an uplifting message to let him know that you're fighting for him? ([link removed])

We know this will put a smile on his face. Thank you for your time and support,

— Innocence Project Team
