Maximizing Surgical Success

PDA Recognizing ways in which we can improve surgical outcome in an
important part of any veterinary practice. Whether the surgery is
taking place in your clinic, or being referred to a tertiary center,
it is essential to be able to recognize factors that help improve
overall outcome so that we can provide the best possible care for our
patients and clients. Surgery is not just the act of tissue
transformation, but includes the care provided before, during and
after the procedure.

>> Angell's Dr. Emily Ulfelder provides tips to ensure your
patients have a successful surgical outcome.

Tooth Resorption in Dogs

Tooth resorption can be classified based on severity, location, and
radiographic appearance. Classifying the type and stage of tooth
resorption allows us to treat properly and relieve discomfort in our
patients. There are seven types of tooth reorption in dogs, as
determined by radiographic appearance.

>>Dr. Alice Ekerdt of Angell's Dentistry team shares insight on
the characteristics, causes, and stages of canine tooth resorption.

Cancer Screening Tests in Veterinary Patients

With the diagnosis of cancer increasing in our veterinary patients and
advances in veterinary diagnostic capabilities, there is a recognized
need for early detection of cancer in our patients, prior to the
development of clinical signs. This is where the development and
utility of screening tests becomes important.
