This Thanksgiving, my family and I will be celebrating Native leaders at the forefront of change in this country. One of the greatest honors of my career has been partnering with Native leaders on public health solutions - from COVID reponse to breakthrough primary care programs. I will share my stories, and use this lesson plan to help my children learn.
Join us! This curriculum, developed by Nia Tero, IllumiNative and Amplify, introduces Native Americans who are helping fight Native invisibility and elevate Native voices. These lesson plans include contributions Native Americans have made in our past, our present, and those changemakers leading the way to a better future for all. Download the lesson plan and share with your friends and family.
Watch this Deb Haaland video, part of the lesson plan.
Wishing you a warm, festive and healthy holiday. Stay safe, stay home if you are able and remember to #MaskUp!
