As we spend time with our family and friends on this holiday and reflect on the many reasons to be thankful, all of us at True the Vote want to take a moment to thank you, the volunteers, supporters, poll workers, voters, and the citizens across the nation that have served your community by getting involved in local elections. You
are our extended family, and without you, True the Vote would not be possible.
Thanks to your hard work and support, our organization has been able to grow and expand over the last year, tackle bigger challenges, and take on more opportunities that have allowed us to empower and equip a bigger citizen army than ever to continue our ongoing mission of preserving free and fair elections for all voters. Especially during these unprecedented times, your unwavering commitment has meant a lot to our organization.
For many of us, the true meaning of Thanksgiving focuses on the relationship between God and man. Upon their arrival at Plymouth, the Pilgrims composed The Mayflower Compact, which not only honored and decided how to worship God, but also reflected the idea of law made by the people. This idea lies at the heart of democracy and self-government – the very freedoms and way of life that we risk having taken away from us.
In the Bible, Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us that by continuing to live our lives faithfully in prayer and gratitude despite the challenges we face, God will take away fear and anxiety and replace it with a peace that defies understanding. While the fight to preserve our freedoms is ongoing, we must not be discouraged – the key to peace is giving thanks!
From the Pilgrims to the present, we can always find cause to give thanks for the abundant blessings that come with living in this great country. May God bless all of our families this Thanksgiving and continue to bless the United States of America each and every day.
