This is alarming news, friend.

The day after Christmas, 12 million Americans will lose unemployment benefits. On New Year's Eve, eviction moratoriums and small business relief will expire.

Mitch McConnell and Republicans have known this day was coming for months, and yet what did McConnell do about it? He sent the Senate home for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Since the House acted and passed the HEROES Act, the COVID-19 pandemic has only gotten worse with the Trump administration's complete failure of a response, and millions of Americans are on the economic brink. They simply can't wait any longer.

Add your name now to join us in demanding McConnell and the Senate extend unemployment benefits to provide desperately needed relief to workers, families, and small businesses.

If the health implications of a pandemic weren't bad enough, the economic fallout of COVID-19 has millions of families seriously struggling. And the outrageous part is: Too many leaders in Washington don't feel much urgency about it.

We must act now. Sign our petition demanding the Senate pass additional pandemic relief!

We can't afford to let McConnell and Republicans play politics with people's lives and livelihoods any longer.

Thank you,

Michigan Dems
