On the 26th of every month, I ask folks to chip in $26 to strengthen our grassroots movement for the Dignity of Work. With the holiday coming up tomorrow, I'm going to ask a day early, but first, let me explain why:
Our movement isn't bankrolled by wealthy corporate donors. It's made up of activists in Ohio and every corner of the country who chip in what they can when they can, because we all share a common belief that if you love this country you fight for the people who make it work.
When we all work together, we can achieve something so much bigger than our individual parts.
So when someone like Sen. Ted Cruz spreads dangerous misinformation by diminishing the importance of wearing a mask to protect the health and safety of the essential workers around him, we can all take action and fight back.
Together, we can spread our message of the Dignity of Work and the importance of taking care of the people who make our country work one $26 contribution at a time. If you're in the position to contribute today, please chip in before the end-of-month deadline.

Or donate another amount.
Workers deserve a government that's on their side and cares about their health and safety in the workplace.
Instead, Senate Republicans like Cruz and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have let enhanced $600-a-week unemployment benefits expire and have refused to take action on further COVID-19 relief that would put money in the pockets of working Americans and provide rental assistance, hazard pay, and student debt relief.
And now, they're even refusing to do the absolute bare minimum of wearing a mask to keep the workers around them safe.
If Cruz, McConnell, and Senate workers won't fight for essential workers, then our grassroots movement will. If you can, chip in $26 -- or $2 or $16 -- before the end-of-month deadline.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
