Yesterday, my team and I spent the afternoon packing Thanksgiving meals
for people in the Massachusetts 7th. Especially this year, we must safely
care for our neighbors and help each other in a moment when many are
facing unprecedented hardship.
So many families were already living on the edge before COVID-19. The
pandemic has exacerbated deep inequities in our communities and left
millions out of work, without health insurance, or grieving the loss of a
loved one. This holiday, too many families will be forced to choose
between putting food on the table, making the rent, or paying for critical
care.
United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley has set a goal of
feeding 15,000 families this Thanksgiving. A $50 contribution will feed a
family in need for an entire week.

donate $50 (or more!) to United Way to help them feed 15,000 families this
Thanksgiving?
Contribute
Being a part of community means being there for each other through the
struggles and supporting each other however we can. There are thousands of
families and individuals in the Boston area who need our support right
now.
If you can’t afford to donate, I completely understand. [ [link removed] ]But, if you can
afford to chip in, please make a contribution to United Way to help them
reach their goal of feeding 15,000 families this Thanksgiving.
Thank you for supporting our communities today. And I hope that you are
able to safely enjoy the holiday tomorrow.
In solidarity,
Ayanna
