Look, President Trump lost the election, but his damaging, illegal policies will not automatically go away when he leaves the White House.

We are continuing to fight him in court — and we are continuing to win.

We achieved another major victory when we defeated Donald Trump’s latest attempt to harm Dreamers by restricting the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

In a case my office is co-leading with New York and Massachusetts, a federal judge ruled that President Trump’s unlawfully appointed cabinet secretary cannot stop new applicants to DACA from applying.

But unfortunately, this fight is far from over. We know Republican Attorneys General will re-launch their legal attack against the DACA program next year.

This fight is about American values.

Dreamers are enriching our communities, our local economies, and our institutions of higher education. They are fighting fires, educating our students and providing health care in the pandemic. Who are we as a country if we strip their protections away?

I promised Dreamers that as long as I was Attorney General, I would do everything in my power to fight for their rights. Nothing will stop me from keeping that promise.

Washington Dreamers can count on me to continue to stand up for DACA and push for full citizenship for Dreamers.

Starting December 12th, Washington state law requires a mandatory “freeze” on all fundraising for state officials like Bob.
