Justin Fairfax’s accusers have not received the same level of attention that Blasey Ford and others did.  It’s time for that double standard to end.

John,

Since February, our nation has witnessed a double standard play out for all to see. When it comes to credible allegations of rape and sexual assault, there’s one standard for Republicans, like Brett Kavanaugh, and one standard for Democrats, like Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax. It’s time for that double standard to end. Justin Fairfax’s accusers have not received the same level of attention or investigation that Christine Blasey Ford and others did.

The women Justin Fairfax may have sexually assaulted want to testify before Virginia’s General Assembly, but Democrats won’t let it happen. Click here to tell Virginia Democrats to stop silencing women with their partisan politics. ([link removed])

As the Washington Post noted in a recent editorial endorsing this idea,

“a hearing remains the sole option that may be exercised at the General Assembly’s discretion, and the only way to elicit sworn testimony by Mr. Fairfax and his accusers, among others, in a public forum not susceptible to stage managing by any of them.”

Democrats in Richmond don’t want the investigation to proceed because of what may be discovered. Even some Democrats who have called on Fairfax to resign are resisting hearings.

The hypocrisy at play is astonishing. Two women have credibly accused Justin Fairfax of rape and sexual assault. They deserve to be heard, not silenced for politics.

Republican State Leadership Committee

============================================================

What is the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC)?

We are the only organization solely focused on electing Republicans to down-ballot, state-level offices. We accomplish this by working directly with Republican leadership in the states and providing them with resources, training, and funding. We have nearly 200,000 donors in all 50 states. The RSLC invested a record $45 million into state-level races in the 2017-2018 election cycle, which contributed to state-level Republicans maintaining 61 of 99 legislative chamber majorities, holding 25 lieutenant governor seats, and 29 secretaries of state offices.

Your support is critical to making this happen.
