Hello,

“We are the firewall, not just for the U.S. Senate, but the future of our country.” Those are the chilling words of Senate Republican candidates in Georgia. We’ve already seen what the GOP wants for our country. We condemned that vision in voting Trump out. But Republicans are right. Our efforts will be futile unless we win in GA.

If we win Georgia, we’ll have the opportunity to take back our country and finally pass progressive legislation through a Democratic-led House, a Democratic-led Senate, and with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House. But if we fail in Georgia, Mitch McConnell will continue to obstruct every piece of progressive legislation the House passes. (In Newsweek, Mitch even flat out admitted to being the legislative Grim Reaper, saying, “It is true. They’ve been on full left-wing parade over there, trotting out all of their left-wing solutions…They’re right. We're not going to pass those.”)

Republicans know that the only way Democrats can make any lasting policy changes and move our country forward is by taking back control of the Senate, so they’re funnelling a massive amount of resources into a last-ditch effort to keep some far-right authority in Washington. The Republican money machine has already DOUBLED the funding of Democratic candidates.

Please, we’ve asked a lot of you this election, but we’re counting on YOU again right now to rush Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock immediate resources so they can withstand the barrage of GOP smear attack ads already heading their way and turn Georgia blue again on January 5.

 

You, more than anyone, know the damage that Mitch McConnell’s Republican Senate has caused to our country.
