Friend,
The pandemic hit our members hard, and many have been fighting evictions and struggling to find safe, stable work. So, knowing firsthand how hard this Thanksgiving would be for so many families, member leaders of our Flatbush chapter organized and safely gave out over 150 large bags of free groceries to their neighbors yesterday.
And in Queens, our Queens chapter members distributed 1,200 turkeys and additional groceries to families who couldn’t afford them this year. Everyone chipped in what they could to raise money and purchase everything we distributed to our neighbors. There is no shortage of need, but organized communities can make a dollar last longer and stretch the impact.
From our family to yours,
