Children's Hospital Los Angeles patient Maverick hadn't even reached his first birthday when he was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease.

I know that doesn't sound like the start of an uplifting story-but it is. Because what happened next is the perfect example of what community support, loving families and dedicated staff help make possible every day at CHLA.
