We surveyed soup pantries and soup kitchens across the country to better understand the challenges they’re facing and what their clients need. We also conducted a groundbreaking poll of 800 low-income Americans who told us about their experiences with poverty and food insecurity as well as the barriers they face to economic mobility.

Survey results demonstrate that struggling Americans desperately want society to ensure that, when they work hard, they not only are able to meet basic living expenses, but they also have the opportunity to advance their dreams through learning, earning, and saving their way out of poverty.
