This Thanksgiving is different, but there's still so much I'm thankful for.

Ahead of the holiday tomorrow, I want to wish you and your family a happy, safe, and peaceful Thanksgiving.

Of course, this Thanksgiving is going to look quite different than years past. My top priority remains your health and well-being.

As COVID-19 cases are rising across the country, I encourage everyone to continue following CDC guidelines and take every precaution to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy while celebrating this year: wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, disinfect surfaces, practice social distancing, and keep gatherings small.

I know this is a tough time to be apart from loved ones, so I thank you for continuing to do your part as we work to slow the spread of this virus.

The pandemic has hit so many in our communities hard. Folks are out of work, small businesses have had to close their doors, parents are juggling work with children who are remote learning, and health care providers are overwhelmed. I’m working in Congress to address this pandemic and secure the resources American families need so we can all safely get back to work.

As we enter the holiday season, I encourage those of us who are able to make a donation to a local food bank that’s doing the important work of combating hunger in our communities.

Even if we can’t be together this year and even though this has been a tremendously difficult time for our country, there is still so much I am thankful for: my family and friends, the opportunity to continue serving New Jersey’s 11th District in Congress, and the commitment and generosity of this grassroots team.

Thank you again for all you have done and continue to do to support and strengthen our fight for New Jersey in Congress.

Wishing you and yours a happy and safe Thanksgiving,

Mikie
