From the Desk of Karl SimmethChairman, Erie County Republican Committee
Friends,
As we approach Thanksgiving this Thursday, I want to wish you well. This holiday is different than any I have experienced in my lifetime, but like past challenges I know we can find the silver lining and come through stronger, together.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I like to take time leading into this holiday to remember specific things I am grateful for, and I believe this exercise is more powerful now in times of struggle than in the times of plenty.
I am grateful to our brave men and women in our military, both active duty and veterans, who have protected this great nation. I am grateful for law enforcement, who have vigilantly kept our community safe despite immense pressure, especially this last year. I am grateful for the healthcare staff who cared for our sick, and the essential workers who kept things moving amidst the shutdown. I am thankful for my loving wife Kathy, who has always stood by my side and has been especially gracious in supporting me in taking on the role of Chairman.
I am thankful for you and your support of our Republican Party. It is because of you that we are growing, winning, and leading and I look forward to continuing our victories in the coming year.
I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
God bless you, God bless your families, and God bless the United States of America.
