John,
Children are the future of our nation. Sadly, they’re not likely to hear stories of faith and American heritage on most media outlets for kids or even in school.
Tomorrow many of us will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
But for many, the history of the holiday begins and ends with the Pilgrims and Native Americans sharing a meal.
Bald Beagle – the educational channel for kids from the ACLJ creative team – just released a new video depicting how our annual Thanksgiving holiday officially began.
Even many adults don’t know that Sarah Josepha Hale, the author of “Mary Had a Little Lamb” – believing we should give thanks to God as a nation even in the midst of war – influenced President Lincoln to declare a national holiday.
