Dear Supporter,
Political lies and widespread conspiracy theories are dangerous phenomena that have existed in our country for a long time.
But today, misinformation is running rampant on the giant social media networks Facebook and Twitter. Election disinformation reaches millions of Americans every day and these messages are rarely corroborated, corrected or contained. This is a dangerous threat to our democracy, and we need Facebook and Twitter to course-correct immediately!
Donald Trump, a man who has routinely spread falsities without a shred of proof, has co-opted Facebook and Twitter’s ability to reach millions of Americans, sowing doubt, spreading disinformation and attempting to discredit the election results - despite a total lack of evidence!
We must demand Facebook and Twitter remove lies about the 2020 election and get a handle on this disinformation crisis immediately!
