Tax-deductible donations will go toward securing the freedom of immigrants detained in Louisiana. The state of Louisiana has the fastest growing detention population in the country. More people are detained in Louisiana than any other state, except for Texas. Every day, approximately 7,000 immigrants are caged in county jails and for-profit prisons in Louisiana as part of the U.S. immigration detention system. The number of people detained in Louisiana has more than tripled since 2018.
