Day 3: Banning Little Plastic Bottles

Hello,

If you haven't heard, Governor Gavin Newsom just signed AB5, the misguided law to limit independent contractors and the Gig Economy.

Maybe Newsom thought NO ONE really uses services like Uber and Postmates.

That is why it is so important to point out all of the bad legislation Sacramento Democrats passed before closing up shop for the year.

Making the list on Day 3 of our Ten Days of Vetos, we present you  AB 1162.

This would ban hotels from supplying rooms and guests with small plastic containers of shampoo and other hygiene products.

The environment is a serious issue but this piece meal solution isn't going to affect anyone except place another burden on California Businesses.

Even the LA Times said legislation like AB 1162 are "minuscule, penny-ante policies."

"Lawmakers should not waste their energy on such a trivial law."
