But just returning to normal isn't good enough -- we need to build an even better future, and rebuild New York City the right way. We have to invest in our infrastructure, our housing, our healthcare systems, and our schools, and we have to re-make the system so that it works for everyone.
By stalling the transition to the Biden/Harris administration, Donald Trump delayed our city's recovery. His stalling may be over, but even past Inauguration Day, I'm working to make sure all New Yorkers are part of our city's recovery, and that they'll be protected long after this crisis is over.
