Dear Friend,

Is China just a "competitor" of the United States? In a recent article published by Gatestone, "China: Existential Threat to America," Gordon Chang explodes the myth that China is merely a "competitor". Chang revealed that a Chinese enterprise is now pouring approximately $3 billion into Freeport in the Bahamas, just 87 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida. After seeing China build -- and then militarize – new islands in the South China Sea, it seems possible that the Chinese Communist Party is eyeing creating a naval base 87 miles from Florida.

Where did you first hear about this disturbing development? It's a good bet that many thousands of Gatestone readers heard it from us.

Gatestone's experts and authors, with your help, work tirelessly to research and present information that the media, "human rights" groups, the tech giants and many governments ignore or try to hide.

This important work is only made possible through support from you, our readers, and members of the Gatestone community. Please make a contribution (U.S. tax-deductible) today, to help us wage this battle of ideas.

With warmest thanks,
