Dear John,
Giving Tuesday is one week away! As it nears, we want to answer any questions you may have about EMET and our work, so you can feel confident about investing in the Truth - in EMET.
Why Invest In EMET?
EMET educates policy makers and the public-at-large about the Middle East and the common threats that both the United States and Israel have in the region. Now, during a time of American retreat from the Middle East, it is more important than ever before that we be able to communicate our message that Israel is the greatest geo-strategic asset we in the West have in the Middle East.
EMET is more than a traditional think tank. We are an Action Tank. We take our ideas for a strong and secure Israel, and a strong and secure United States, directly to our nation’s policy makers and turn them into policy.
How Do We Accomplish Our Mission?
We do this by meeting almost every day (yes, even during the pandemic), with members of Congress and their staffers, arranging for webinars and seminars featuring prominent policy experts, and writing and publishing in major periodicals throughout the world, including Commentary, Newsweek, Mosaic, The New Republic, The Washington Times, JNS.org, The Jerusalem Post, Israel HaYom, The Times of Israel, and more. We feature experts such as Natan Sharansky, Colonel Richard Kemp, Elan Carr, Ken Marcus, Caroline Glick, Yoram Ettinger, Efraim Inbar, Brigadier General Michael Herzog, David Albright, and many, many other bright luminaries.
Why Now?
Now, with a change in the White House, Congress, and possibly the Senate, it is more important that there be one consistent voice in Washington that has invariable red lines, who represents YOUR voice to our nation’s lawmakers and the public-at-large. A voice that does not vacillate with each election cycle. As it says in the Talmud, “The hour is late. The task is great. It is not ours to desist from doing the task. Nor is it ours to do alone.”
Please partner with us on Giving Tuesday, December 1st, when your contribution be tripled!
If you would like to pledge a donation ahead of time, and still have it triple matched, please reach out to Sarah-Leah Thompson at

What is Giving Tuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
Founded in 2005, The Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET) is a Washington, D.C. based think tank and policy center with an unabashedly pro-America and pro-Israel stance. EMET (which means truth in Hebrew) prides itself on challenging the falsehoods and misrepresentations that abound in U.S. Middle East policy.
