While our country hangs in the balance as Trump refuses to concede the election results, Michelle Obama has made one thing clear: “Our democracy is so much bigger than anybody’s ego.”

Michelle Obama has been a fierce protector of our democracy since becoming First Lady, and she pushed to ensure that every American made their voices heard in this election. As more and more Republicans refuse to acknowledge Joe Biden’s win, Obama has a clear message: “our love of country requires us to respect the results of an election even when we don’t like them or wish it had gone differently.”

“I want to urge all Americans, especially our nation’s leaders, regardless of party, to honor the electoral process and do your part to encourage a smooth transition of power, just as sitting presidents have done throughout our history."

We’re proud to stand with Michelle Obama in demanding that Donald Trump and his Republican allies respect the election results and facilitate a peaceful transition of power for the sake of our democracy.
