3 Reasons to Give on Giving Tuesday

Dear John,
A lot of things may have been canceled in 2020, but thankfully giving back isn’t one of them. Your generosity gives ELPC the power to make a positive change in communities throughout the Midwest.
Here are three reasons to give to ELPC this #GivingTuesday ([link removed])
1. We Litigate – ELPC public interest attorneys wield the power of the law to stop pollution and protect public health. We have dozens of active cases across the region, including the fight to protect Lake Erie from toxic algae, stopping ozone pollution in the Chicagoland area, and holding Indiana’s serial polluter ArcelorMittal steel mill accountable.
2. We Advocate – ELPC is a strong voice for the Midwest, working with coalitions and key leaders to create lasting change. We have been a leader in the rollout of the Illinois Solar for All program, we fought to stop the oil pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac to protect the Great Lakes, and we have helped shut down coal plants in Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa seeing return investments in solar energy.
3. We Innovate – We don’t just say no to threats, we say yes to smart solutions and identify win-win opportunities for economic and environmental progress. This year, we have built a region-wide coalition to transform the electric grid to maximize clean energy, we pushed for consumers to receive a fair value for the solar power they generate, we have worked with Midwestern cities to advance climate solutions at the local level.
