Dear John,

I am reaching out to you today to tell you about an AMAZING opportunity to help keep animals wild and free.

By making a donation online from 1st-8th December, your donation could be MATCHED to fund a brand new undercover investigation.

You can help us expose the murky world of those companies who rip wild animals from their ocean habitats and ship them around the world to stock the tanks of aquariums.

Those companies who ‘source and supply’ animals like sharks, rays, octopuses, fishes and others to the aquarium industry across the globe.

Because the awful truth is that animals are being taken from the wild in their droves to stock these aquarium tanks.

The vast majority of animals in aquariums will not breed in captivity. So in order for an aquarium to have a colourful display of tropical fish, sharks, turtles and others, animals are kidnapped from their wild homes, the delicate ecosystems they live in, and shipped across the world in awful conditions. All to entertain customers at aquariums.

If you make a donation online from midday 1st-8th December your gift could be matched!! Meaning your donation will go even further to help animals in need.

Live animals are shipped in plastic bags and boxes, often with just enough water to cover their bodies. For journeys that can take days.

How on earth does a fish from the Great Barrier Reef in Australia end up in a tank on display at an aquarium in London, without immense suffering?

How is it possible for a 10ft Sand Tiger Shark to be taken from their wild home in the Mediterranean and shipped to a tank like that at the Bristol aquarium?

With your help, that is what we are going to find out. To expose this brutal and destructive trade and fight to end it, to protect these animals.

I am asking you to donate to our Christmas appeal on 1st -8th December
to make sure the fight for these animals, and so many others, can continue for as long as they need us.

There is no doubt that animals suffer greatly through this process. Physically and mentally. And no doubt that many die. This is what, with your help, we are determined to expose. To shame this awful industry and put a stop to this barbaric and deeply unethical trade.

I am asking you today to help make this vital investigation a reality. We intend to produce the first ever detailed exposé of these cruel practises. We will show the true costs on the lives of animals.

So please get ready to make a life-saving donation this time next week, to take this opportunity to protect thousands from a life behind glass.

For the animals,

P.S. Animals are brutally ripped from their wild homes and undergo long and stressful journeys to be put on display in UK aquariums. Now we have a chance to take action against this cruel trade but Covid-19 is threatening our work.

Please make an urgent Christmas donation via the Big Give on 1st-8th December and it could be MATCHED. Your donation will go even further for animals and help protect them from spending a life time in captivity.
