EmailTemplate-Responsive <[link removed]> Dear John??
As we are now a few weeks into November, I think it is important to give you an
update on this eventful month. While the biggest headline continues to be the
recent election, there is also a personal update I?d like to share.

You may have read or heard on the news recently that I have spent this past
week in quarantine
<[link removed]>
after being in close contact with a friend who tested positive for COVID-19.
Although my initial COVID test came back negative and I had no symptoms, it was
at the recommendation of the House of Representatives Attending Physician that
I didn?t travel back to Washington for the week of in-session work. While this
was disappointing news, I knew that staying in quarantine was the right call so
that I could keep my colleagues and staff safe. With that said, as of this
morning (Tuesday) I am now out of quarantine.? So, I will be able to return to
work when Congress goes back into session next week.

2020 Election

As I mentioned at the start, this recent election continues to make headlines
three weeks later. Monday, President Trump allowed the General Services
Administration to allow the Biden team access to transition funds.? However,
the President says he will continue to make sure that every legal vote cast in
this election is counted and that every illegal vote is cast asside.? This is
not only a reasonable approach, but the integrity of our election process
demands such scrutiny.

I would also like to take a moment to thank you
<[link removed]> for sending
me back to Washington, D.C. to serve as your Representative for Alabama?s 4th
Congressional District. It is an incredible honor to serve you in Congress, and
it is a responsibility I do not take lightly. And no matter how you voted in
this election, I promise to fight for you, and for everyone in our district, in
the halls of Congress. ?

National Adoption Month

As an unapologetic Pro-Life advocate, I have always fought to protect the
most vulnerable among us. It has been a top priority of mine since I was first
elected, and it is something I take very seriously. That?s why I was proud to
sponsor legislation in Congress
<[link removed]> reaffirming
November as National Adoption Month.

This resolution promotes national awareness of adoption, celebrates children
and families involved in adoption, and encourages the people of the United
States to secure safety, permanency, and well-being for all children. To me,
supporting adoption is a no-brainer, and I am pleased that 40 of my colleagues
from both sides of the aisle have joined so far as co-sponsors of this
resolution.

Thanksgiving 2020

On a final note, I want to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope Thursday is filled with a lot of laughter and gratitude, and that you
can share it with friends and family. And while we continue to navigate this
Coronavirus pandemic, please stay safe this holiday season ? and join me in
being thankful for this wonderful district we get to call home. ?

?

???????????Sincerely,

???? <[link removed]>
