Thank you for your support!
We appreciate your support all year, every year. But it has been especially meaningful in 2020 as we face the pandemic, racial injustice, devastating climate events, and a stressful election cycle. So many have stepped up to support your communities, your neighbors and even strangers, showing compassion and a willingness to help. You continue to be such an inspiration to the 1000 Friends Board and Staff!

We hope you'll take some time during the holiday weekend to relax, get outside and enjoy the natural beauty Wisconsin has to offer. Stay safe.
Winter Playbook
We know this winter may be tougher than usual due to the Covid pandemic. Abe Lenoch, WAT Project Manager, put together a Winter Playbook to help support active living this winter. We encourage communities to find innovative ways to keep folks active so we put together a collection of winter events and suggestions that are safe and healthy. Please share this resource widely! https://arcg.is/0CmWyX Abe is happy to answer questions or help you plan! [email protected]

Leopold Schoolyard Update
This fall, the Leopold Green Schoolyard Committee tackled some of the flooding problems on the schoolyard by installing their own rain garden! Leopold students and families now have a place to explore native wildflowers and all the life that comes with them.
We're excited to announce a new partnership with MMSD to expand our work at Leopold School in 2021!
