On December 1, we need to help as many refugee families as possible.

John,

Did you know Giving Tuesday is around the corner?

It's one of the biggest opportunities we have to raise money in support of displaced families, like the Syrian family in the photo above...and we need your help.

The funds we raise can go toward our work fighting COVID-19 in places like Yemen, Syria and Lebanon, while supporting our other critical programs worldwide. Here in the United States, it can help us protect the refugee resettlement program, and reunite asylum-seeking families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

John, this is important. Will you take a moment to save the date — December 1, 2020 — in your personal calendar?

We can't overstate how much your support means to us...and to the families we serve.

Thank you for being a member of the IRC community, and for jumping in at this critical moment to help.

Here are some of the reasons to support the IRC:
  • We are leaders in responding to the triple threat refugees are facing right now — the rapid spread of COVID-19, conflict and displacement, and hunger.

  • We help people in some of the toughest places on Earth. This includes crisis zones like Yemen and Syria, and Lebanon which is currently facing the aftermath of a massive explosion and a COVID-19 surge.

  • We were founded at the call of Albert Einstein, who was a refugee himself. Today, ingenuity, fortitude and optimism remain at the heart of who we are and how we work.

  • We put the people we serve at the heart of everything we do. And we never, ever give up on refugees.

Together, we can ensure refugees and asylum seekers can access vital emergency assistance and long-term support. We can help them survive, recover and rebuild their lives.

With gratitude, and we'll see you on Tuesday.
