Dear Neighbor,
One of the best parts of Thanksgiving, to me at least, is looking back
and remembering everything that makes me feel grateful. This year will
be easy. Everyday I still wake up overwhelmed by the support, love and
passion that came from our historic campaign. We had over 200
volunteers, our average donation was $30, and together we earned over
ninety four thousand votes--ninety-four thousand!
Our campaign was built on the idea that everyone deserves a floor to
stand on. I’ll still be fighting for those goals by volunteering
with my neighborhood council and helping provide food to families
within our community through local nonprofits. I hope you’ll join me
in spirit, wherever you may be, and however, you may be able to spread
this season’s theme of giving and charity.
While we work for our community, we still have some loose ends to tie
up from this campaign.In the spirit of this season, if you’re able
to contribute any amount to help us towards our debt, I’d greatly
appreciate it. Regardless of whether you can contribute, please know
that my gratitude for your support is so complete and so true. I wish
you and your families a happy, healthy Thanksgiving. If you don't
celebrate this holiday, enjoy your day off!
