Today, we're just one week away from Giving Tuesday, the day when many of us come together to do more and do better for our communities.

But for a farmer in Ethiopia, where COVID-19 has closed down the markets, next Tuesday is just another Tuesday.

For a family crowded into a shelter in a refugee camp in Bangladesh, it's just another Tuesday.

Truth is, for most people in the world, Giving Tuesday is just another difficult Tuesday – in the middle of a difficult week, in a difficult year.

And that's why Oxfam is aiming to make this year's Giving Tuesday anything but another Tuesday. • Distributing seeds, tools, and cash to farmers in Ethiopia, where COVID-19 has shut down markets, putting the agriculture industry in danger.
• Supporting families battling multiple emergencies, like in Bangladesh, where Cyclone Amphan raged earlier this year. The disaster caused overcrowding in shelters when half a million people lost their homes – Oxfam provided clean water and public health information on how to stay safe when social distancing was impossible.
