Dear friend,
Grammy Award-winner Kacey Musgraves has long been a staunch ally of
the LGBTQ community, and this year in honor of Spirit Day on October
17, which supports GLAAD’s work to prevent bullying and violence and
keep LGBTQ kids safe, she’s doing something EXTRA special: Kacey is
donating two VIP seats to GLAAD to either of her sold-out concerts at
Radio City Music Hall in NYC on October 15 or October 16 and
you get to meet her backstage…and YOU can win them!
If
you donate $20 to support GLAAD’s work with LGBTQ youth, you could win
two VIP seats to Kacey’s concert and get that special meet and
greet!
Kacey has spoken publicly and movingly about her experience growing
up around homophobia in a small town in Texas. After her best friend
came out to her after high school, she realized the importance of
using her voice to advocate for equality, and she’s made good on that
promise throughout her career. In 2013, she faced intense backlash for
her single “Follow Your Arrow,” which encouraged acceptance for LGBTQ
people, but Kacey stood her ground. She performed the song at the 2014
GLAAD Media Awards, and it has since become an anthem for inclusion
that she now plays at almost every concert.
Kacey is particularly dedicated to fighting for LGBTQ youth -- she
goes purple for Spirit Day every year! With your donation to GLAAD,
you’ll join her in that fight, friend, and we know she can’t wait to
thank you in person after her concert in New York City.
Kacey won this year’s Grammy for Album of the Year, and
friend, when you make your donation to GLAAD to fight for LGBTQ youth,
you could be a winner, too! Donate $20 now for your chance to win two
VIP tickets to either of Kacey’s sold out concerts at Radio City Music
Hall on her OH WHAT A WORLD: TOUR II
Thank you, and good luck!
