Joe Biden endorsed and Kamala Harris co-sponsored the “PRO Act,” which is essentially a sweeping AB5-style federal law that would devastate independent contractor jobs and the gig economy.
Further, they’ve pledged to take a very aggressive stance against employers who hire independent contractors and don’t support a full pro-union stance.
They are proposing radical policies to crack down on independent contractors, even threatening to punish employers legally.
We must protect independent contractors’ freedom and flexibility.
