Veterans Day occurs on November 11 every year to honor the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I.
This year, to show our gratitude to all of those who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces, we launched the largest virtual celebration event, 11 Days, 11 Ways. The goal: to show our nation’s Veterans that Veterans Day is more than a one day silent salute to service. We wanted to demonstrate our continued commitment to uniting Americans to honor and restore the lives of veterans and military families.
The response was incredible — from coast to coast and patriots around the world. To those who took part, thank you!
The work continues at Boot Campaign, and the need for what we provide is at an all time high. Our hope is that all Americans join our efforts to celebrate those who laced up their boots, bid their families and friends farewell to walk boldly into hostility to protect our rights to work, play and live as we please.
One day, or even 11 days out of 365, is not enough to show our thanks for a lifetime of living free. Today and every day, we lace up standing united because we are Americans.
