Dear Morris County Democrat,

The election results in our county have now been certified.  

First and foremost, I’d like to thank all Morris County Democrats for playing a pivotal role in carrying the county for a Democratic presidential candidate for the first time since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964. President-Elect Joe Biden's win in Morris County shows that voters wanted change and wanted an adult in the White House.  This is a significant moment for us carrying our county for our candidate for President.

Senator Cory Booker also carried the county for his re-election.  Both of our Congressional representatives, Mikie Sherrill (CD-11) and Tom Malinowski (CD-7), were re-elected to their second terms terms in Congress. Carrying the county for Democrats at the federal level is no small feat and we should all be proud of the work we put in to accomplish this. 

I’d also like to acknowledge Rupande Mehta, Darcy Draeger and Cary Amaro who ran great races and won a significant share of the overall vote in their races. Their work should not be overlooked and we thank them for their work and dedication.  We look forward to continuing to run strong and competitive races for County and Legislative offices.
