This week, as we reflect on what we’re grateful for, despite 2020 not being the year we anticipated, there is still so much to celebrate!

We saw women blaze new trails and make history by running for office up and down the ballot, from Wisconsin, where Dora Drake became the youngest Black woman elected to the state legislature, to Nevada, where five alums were elected to be judges after attending Emerge Nevada’s first judicial boot camp.

There’s no question that our work will have lasting implications across the country.

And thanks to supporters like you, Emerge was able to make sure that Democratic women who had been overlooked, underestimated, and told to wait their turn, were able to stand up, run, and win.

So we want to say how grateful we are to you for joining our fight — thank you.

2020 underscored just how critical a community can be as we navigate new challenges. And at Emerge, we’re so grateful to have you as a part of ours.

This year also forced innovation and creativity, and instead of the traditional in-office celebrations, we’ve needed to find new ways to connect. Today, our team is celebrating the season (virtually!) by baking an apple pie together.
