John, I don't look like the typical mayor. I get it.
While many candidates have spent decades isolated in corporate ivory towers and entrenched in the system for decades, the majority of my career has been on the School Board and currently the City Council. I've spent time within our communities with the people of this city, passing legislation and policies with real world implications.
I'm not your average candidate running for mayor. But this is exactly what makes me the strongest candidate.
The city's career politicians and corporate stakeholders have become so set in their ways and accustomed to "playing the game" that they've lost touch with the everyday people who matter most. Their outdated, traditional establishment methods of running our city have proven to be ineffective for far too long, which is why we need someone who isn't scared to make some waves in order to move our city forward.

As a younger candidate, I'm not jaded like the current leaders who have grown complacent with the status quo. I believe in a brighter, thriving future for Allentown. And I know that if we're going to achieve it, we've got to be bold and revolutionary.
But make no mistake: my vision for a progressive Allentown isn't just a pipe dream, either. I'm bringing years of experience in city government and a deep understanding of the inner workings on what it takes to deliver concrete results. My time on the School Board and City Council has enabled me to exercise keen judgment and executive decision-making. And my strong track record of community engagement through teaching, volunteerism, and activism, has given me a unique perspective that other candidates are lacking.
The old ways of doing things are not working for Allentown, and I'm here to bring a fresh outlook with issue-based solutions. But if I'm going to get there, I need to know you're with me.
