Texas’ 21st District looks like a paintball splattered in Travis County and a sharpie is all that connects the west side of IH35 through parts of Hays, Comal to another paintball burst over Bexar County, and then turns west to round up all of Kendall, Blanco, Gillespie, Kerr, Real and Bandera Counties. Why does our District look like this? Gerrymandering. I’m asking that Texas appoint a non-partisan redistricting committee to draw our congressional districts from now on. If you agree it’s time to end partisan gerrymandering, sign our petition now. I testified last week at the Redistricting Hearings at the Texas Capitol because it’s high time voters selected their representatives, not the other way around. We must establish federal guidelines to prohibit partisan gerrymandering!
